Publicaciones de Oldfield Thomas sobre mamíferos de Sud América
                                                                                                            
Michael Rogers Oldfield Thomas (1858-1929) fue uno de los más prolíficos mastozoólogos de la historia y contribuyó destacadamente al conocimiento de la Fauna de mamíferos de Sud América.  Por más de 30 años, el  PIDBA ha recopilado sus artículos, principalmente los publicados en el Annals and Magazine of Natural History, mediante fotocopias, incluyendo ejemplares originales, algunos de ellos firmados por el propio Thomas y enviados a Emilio Budin.  Aunque es bien sabido que en la actualidad esta información ya se encuentra disponible en diferentes medios digitales de acceso gratuito, no existe un sitio específico para estas publicaciones sobre nuestra fauna, de acceso fácil y directo.  Es por eso que nosotros hemos recopilado, escaneado y organizado la información, año por año, de todos los artículos publicados por O. Thomas para que sirva de fuente directa de consulta para nuestros colegas y estudiantes de la fauna de mamíferos de Sudamérica.  Las publicaciones se identifican con el orden numérico asignado por John Hill (1999) en su artículo “A memoir and bibliography of Michael Rogers Oldfield Thomas, F.R.S.”, que se corresponden casi exactamente con el orden de aparición de cada trabajo.

Es destacable mencionar que casi todas estas publicaciones pueden encontrarse y ser descargadas de manera gratuita del sitio BIOSTOR donde existe mucha literatura de interés para nuestras investigaciones.
